SIA Close Protection Training
SIA Close protection officers have dynamic, highly paid and rewarding careers usually working as bodyguards for VIPs, diplomats, celebrities, politicians or providing security in the aviation and maritime industry. We only recommend the close protection course for serious individuals with prior experience in the security industry as the course is both long and demanding.
Course Details
The SIA Close protection training course runs for 18 days. You must also hold a First Aid at Work (FAW) or First Person on Scene (FPOS) qualification as a pre-requisite. The FAW course is often offered as part of the close protection training course.

Course Assessment
Throughout the course, your trainer will assess you through various exercises and practical demonstrations. You will also sit a multiple choice question examination. Successful candidates will achieve the Level 3 Certificate for Working as a Close Protection Operative within the Private Security Industry.
All of the assessments will be conducted within the course duration.
